Duration

Shishapangma, at 8,027 metres, is the world’s 14th-highest mountain and the lowest of the fourteen 8,000-metre peaks. Located in the high Tibetan Himalaya, it is known for its remote environment, extreme altitude, steep snow and ice terrain, and unpredictable high-altitude weather.

Our Shishapangma Expedition is designed for experienced mountaineers seeking the challenge of completing an 8,000-metre summit. The expedition requires excellent physical conditioning, strong high-altitude experience, technical climbing ability, mental resilience, and disciplined decision-making.

The ascent involves progressive acclimatization and climbing through high-altitude snow and ice terrain toward the upper mountain and summit ridge. Climbers must be prepared for extreme cold, strong winds, thin air, and the objective hazards associated with climbing above 8,000 metres. Experienced expedition leadership and high-altitude Sherpa support provide route assistance, camp management, logistical coordination, and guidance throughout the climb.

The final summit push to 8,027 metres demands exceptional endurance, technical ability, discipline, and careful assessment of weather, route conditions, acclimatization, and team readiness.

Shishapangma is an expedition for experienced mountaineers seeking a serious 8,000-metre challenge in the remote and spectacular Tibetan Himalaya.
