Max Altitude

8,167 m (26,795 ft)

Duration

40 Days

Dhaulagiri at 8,167 metres is the world’s seventh-highest mountain and one of the most formidable peaks in the Himalaya. Rising dramatically above the Kali Gandaki Valley, Dhaulagiri is renowned for its remote setting, steep terrain, severe weather, and demanding high-altitude conditions.

Our Dhaulagiri Expedition is designed for experienced mountaineers seeking a serious 8,000-metre challenge in a remote and demanding Himalayan environment. The expedition requires strong physical conditioning, previous high-altitude experience, technical climbing skills, and the ability to make sound decisions in rapidly changing mountain conditions.

The journey into the Dhaulagiri region takes climbers through rugged and remote Himalayan terrain before reaching the expedition base camp. From there, the ascent involves progressive acclimatization and movement through increasingly challenging terrain, with climbers operating in extreme altitude, cold, wind, and potentially difficult snow and ice conditions.

A carefully planned acclimatization strategy is central to the expedition. Our experienced Sherpa team provides high-altitude support, route assistance, camp establishment and management, load carrying, and guidance throughout the ascent. The expedition schedule remains flexible to accommodate weather, route conditions, acclimatization, and the individual readiness of expedition members.

The summit phase represents the ultimate challenge, requiring sustained endurance, technical ability, mental resilience, and disciplined decision-making at extreme altitude. Every summit attempt is approached with careful consideration of safety, weather, mountain conditions, and team preparedness.

Dhaulagiri is more than an 8,000-metre summit—it is a demanding expedition into one of the most remote and spectacular environments of the Himalaya. For experienced mountaineers prepared to commit to the challenge, Dhaulagiri offers an extraordinary test of skill, endurance, and determination.

Prepare for the altitude. Respect the mountain. Climb with purpose.
