The Manaslu Circuit Trek is a remote and spectacular trekking adventure that circles Mount Manaslu (8,163 m), the eighth-highest mountain in the world. Located in west-central Nepal, this trek offers pristine Himalayan landscapes, rich cultural diversity, and a true off-the-beaten-path experience.
The trail passes through deep river gorges, subtropical forests, alpine meadows, and high mountain terrain, following the Budhi Gandaki River for much of the journey. Trekkers encounter traditional villages influenced by Tibetan culture, ancient monasteries, prayer flags, and stone mani walls, providing a strong cultural dimension to the trek.
The highlight of the trek is the crossing of Larkya La Pass (5,106 m), one of the most dramatic high passes in Nepal, offering breathtaking views of Manaslu, Himlung Himal, Cheo Himal, and Annapurna II. Moderately challenging and best suited for trekkers with good fitness and some trekking experience, the Manaslu Circuit Trek combines natural beauty, cultural richness, and adventure in one of Nepal’s most rewarding trekking regions.
