Mt. Manaslu Expedition (8,163 m) – Nepal

Join the Mt. Manaslu Expedition, the world’s eighth-highest mountain, located in the Mansiri Himal of west-central Nepal. Manaslu rises dramatically above its surrounding valleys and glaciers, offering a striking and dominant presence from afar.

The expedition combines trekking and technical climbing, making it suitable for climbers with prior high-altitude experience, preferably on peaks above 6,000 m. Physical fitness, mental strength, and previous mountaineering experience are essential for a safe and successful ascent. The Base Camp, located at 4,800 m, sits amid glacial moraines and provides the starting point for the climb. From Base Camp, climbers traverse the glacier to reach Camp 1, negotiate an icefall to approach Camp 2, and ascend steep snowy slopes to Camp 3. From Camp 3, the ascent continues on steep terrain to Camp 4, followed by a final ridge climb to the summit.

From the summit of Manaslu, climbers are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Manaslu region, Annapurna range, and the Dhaulagiri Himal. This expedition offers a challenging yet highly rewarding experience for mountaineers seeking one of the world’s classic 8,000-meter peaks, combining the beauty of remote Himalayan landscapes with the thrill of high-altitude climbing.
