Founded in 1988, High Altitude Dreams is a premier trekking and expedition company with over three decades of experience in the high mountains. From the beginning, our mission has been simple: to guide climbers safely and professionally while helping them achieve their biggest goals. Over the years, we have successfully organized and led hundreds of expeditions across Nepal, Tibet, and Pakistan. Our long-standing reputation is built on safety, careful planning, strong leadership, and consistent results in some of the world’s most challenging terrain. High Altitude Dreams Pvt. Ltd. is officially registered with the Nepal Tourism Board, reflecting our commitment to professional standards and responsible mountain tourism.
Our Founder – Kili Sherpa
Born in Chaurikharka in the Solukhumbu region, Kili Sherpa began working in the mountaineering industry at just 14 years old. Growing up in the Himalayas shaped his deep respect for the mountains and gave him firsthand understanding of high-altitude life.
In 2001, he summited Mount Everest as a head of the climbing Sherpa alongside Nancy Feagin. A year earlier, in the spring of 2000, he reached the South Col with renowned climbers Christine Field Boskoff ,Peter Habeler, Nazir Sabir, and Ben Webster.
In the spring of 2009 HAD provided all logistic for Peter Whittaker , Dave Hahn , Ed Viesturs and rest of the First Ascent Gear Sale | Eddie Bauer team.
From 2000 to 2009, High Altitude Dreams continuously took the responsibility for route fixing from Camp 2 to the Everest summit each year — a role that demands precision, courage, and deep technical expertise.
Kili Sherpa is also known for organizing and fully funding a comprehensive mountaineering training program for 50+ young climbers. The program included Everest expedition preparation, rescue training, ice climbing, and rock climbing. Today, many of those trainees are working in major mountaineering fields, continuing the Sherpa tradition of skill, discipline, and leadership.
Through his leadership, Kili Sherpa reflects the core values of Sherpa mountaineering culture—resilience, responsibility, and deep respect for the mountains. He continues to connect climbers from around the world with the strength and expertise of experienced Sherpa guides.
Our Team & Approach
Our strength lies in our people. We work with highly experienced guides, most of whom are certified by the International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA). Our climbing Sherpas bring extensive high-altitude experience with climbing multiple 8000m peaks and rigorous training, ensuring safety and efficiency on every expedition.
In addition, our dedicated cook and kitchen team prepare a wide variety of multi-cuisine meals, maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and quality without compromising on flavor.Alongside them is a dedicated support team that carefully manages logistics, preparation, and on-mountain coordination.
From the first stage of planning to the final summit push, we focus on every detail. Safety is always our top priority. We are proud to say that to date, none of our clients have ever faced a fatal accident on our expeditions.
At High Altitude Dreams, we understand that every climber is different. That’s why we do not follow a fixed itinerary. Each trip is carefully curated based on the client’s needs, experience level, and goals. Our aim is to ensure a smooth journey while maintaining the flexibility that high-altitude climbing requires.
To support our expeditions, we use top-quality equipment, including the latest oxygen masks and regulators, and premium high-altitude tents such as The North Face VE-25. Reliable equipment, combined with experienced leadership, makes a critical difference in extreme conditions.
We are also environmentally conscious. During our treks and expeditions, we actively clean up waste and promote responsible climbing practices, protecting the mountains for future generations.
